4. Collaborative Choreography - Undercurrent






Together with five of the dancers in this piece, we created this work Undercurrent. During the choreography phase, what inspired me the most was how each one of us have different movement tendencies and aesthetic choices and how we negotiate and communicate to combine everyone’s idea into a complete piece. The micro-politics of who get to decide and how we decide was a part of the choreography, the Undercurrent of the current.
