Gallim winter intensive final performance, Jan. 21, 2024

Performers: Naomi Gwynn, Alexa Campbell, Hannah Franzen, Natasha Ames, Jamie Kraft, Zev Haworth, Lindsey Scouten, Eva Feng, Avery Lau, Louise Coleman, Amelia Larson, Noelle Malone

We learnt and rehearsed the whole piece in five days. It was one of the most intense experience I had. I am the one wearing a drak green long dress in the video, I used a red box to indicate myself sporadically on the timeline. Andrea Miller’s choreographic style, in my opinion, focuses on the foot work and contains a lot of adopted ballet steps. The torso followers lower body’s movment with minimum control but with expressive and distinctive qualities like tenderness, explosivenesss, and tension.
