Lorem Ipsum - Reaching Beyond Language is a performance project where the main theme is to embody the process of generative AI that is based on large language models. The performance involved in the audience passing around a ball that I fabricated using an Arduino board and laser cut pieces. The Arduino board picks up movement data from the audience, feed in to the a music programming platform MAX MSP, where codes transform movement data to music. Then I map my movements to sounds, and complete the loop. Just like how LLMs gets text input and generate text outputs, this project gets movement input and generate movement output.
